Random trips to places; some unscheduled conversations; scattered work tasks; and an early morning

Its weird how one loves to blog when the time isn't in a pleasing mood of waiting for you; and in turn beckons you to move on with your tasks; at times requesting and at other "threatening. Well, sometimes in your own shell you realize that time has been kind enough to grant you some 'time-out' to think and structure few things; just when you realize that it actually hasn't granted you the freedom of decision, but instead has crafted your itinerary and handed it over to you with a not so overwhelming note saying "Please look into the matter; will be good for you. Thanks n tc!".

Anyways a not so planned weekend with some indispensable appointments; and rest some very unstructured period gives you just the right chance to check out the places/city that surrounds you. And sometimes, a 40kms distant airport seems as the only respite/thrill for a random thought that turns out to be too random to hold and implement in time. But indeed, with some friends around it doesn't take much of the time to pop up a second more random plan to beat the first; specially when there is just a plain dialogue saying:- "The right or the left", meaning:- "The city or the airport". And a not so thought of reply saying "Left indeed!, the city doesnt deserve us at this hour of the day". So, without much after-thoughts, the course of the plan changes; and new follow up add-ons to the plan start surfacing. The roads of bangalore are indeed disappointing but at times pleasing; depends on  the context where are you standing at the moment. The catch line "Coffees and conversations!" is indeed brightened when the backdrop of it all lends it to be reframed as "Coffees and conversations in between; as you fly!". And to add to it, a story of a lost & found purse; which was not exactly lost (was it? or was that just a thrown & picked up & thrown back one, considering the not so expected/awaited material inside that made the interest level drip!) And hence the night passed...

What's in there?: ..a wandering night, a shivering dawn & a place unknown!

A holiday on Friday is indeed a welcoming sign for a great weekend, though its a different thing that mostly it evaporates so soon that you are left with just another weekend. But sometimes it just paves the way for an adventurous weekend, sets the mood for some real fun, and gives you the much required "time" to plan that exciting thing that has always been on your mind but couldn't take charge as everytime you discover it- you realize that you are almost through the weekend, so you prefer hanging around in your "comfort" zone rather than going "out of the way".So after a little discussion; and lots of convincing directed towards the "defensive" crowd of our group; few rounds of "santaape" (as we fondly term it, and when it seems as the only viable option left in the universe to move the subtle, aging, non-enthusiast child of ours), we did come up with something substantial and "BMC" was the word.
"Night Trek at Ramnagaram" is how they put it, while "bak-chow-di at night" is what we discovered it was(no offensive meant but instead a thanks to the great personality that helped us re-discover this already known "term" in altogether a new, fresh, and revamped accent.. cheers MADI!). Anyhow the trek seemed to take off with torches i hand, sleeping bags on shoulders, camera in hands, and blacked-out path. The legs started moving, the light started clearing the darkness ahead, and cameras started flashing and amidst all this we cruised along. Fences, rocks, muddy patches laid down in our path made it exciting for the "noob" trekkers to challenge their spirits. After long stretches of path exploration, we felt like reaching somewhere in the middle of nowhere; when suddenly innumerable stairs welcomed us. Half drained out, we continued the directionless, aimless mission of ours with never-ending flight of stairs. And then came the much awaited question, How many more? Reply: 150- done; 250 more. Hmm.. not that pleasing though, but is their any other option? Yes why not.. Red Bull, a dose of instant energy :)!!
So after a brief halt the exploration resumed; now through more challenging paths, with renewed spirits, with skewed vision, with lewd characters, and crude precision.. with some thinking "Shit man.. what a screwed decision!" Landmarks came and passed-by, but the path doesn't seem to end so easily. And then came the NEXT STEP.

And Ahead...

The steps became steeper, the heights became exponential, the path became narrower, the energy left was shallower, mind was the planner, legs were followers. Scope of error became thinner, fear was inner, survivor was the only winner, the task was a stunner! The opinions were diverse, with some clinging on to every piece of metal that can support their upward move; while others put up a cheerful expression for the lens's sake; and for some it all seemed a piece of cake. With all sorts of balancing act the dwindling steps finally paved their way to the "hill-top". Cold indeed it was, as everyone had imagined it to be, but the absence of bonfire made the sequence of events henceforth unpredictable. The sleeping bags did try their best to give some relief to the frozen souls beneath, but in vain. Finally, it was 'songs' and 'sutai ' that helped us keep awake and feel the moment. Some 'like-minded' souls did explore the extremities of the hill top; talked away time; before returning to the place where the night awaited us. The breeze had an uncanny flow, the spirits sinked low, the sun had already refused to grow; and sooner we realized it was time to go!! But what awaited us back now was a path which was travelled the previous night unknowingly under the cover of darkness, which taken away can lead to unexplainable consequences. Its sometimes easier to do things without seeing or knowing them. Anyways, yet again we cruised our way back; though with some unquotable exchange of expressions and some weird glanced now & then.

But all in all, a night worth spent, a dawn worth seen, an adventurous trek it has been.

Some stay to be Rich; while some Ditch and do the dynamic Switch!!

Sometimes its difficult to gather some incidents that occurred over the last few days; which turns you on to write a blog; and are worth quoting!! To be true, I am completely blank about what i am gonna write next as i start off with the first line(thats what happens to you when you start working!!).. but yeah thats the 'amazing' part of writing.. isnt it? Anyhow, the week started 'hectic'; traversed though some busy patches; and appeared to end last night in the NGV Park, when just-in-time we realized that its still the mid of the week! But you know the weather here coupled with a group of friends makes you feel that way. So, the 'talk of the oracle' finally made it to 'the place' where some 'in your face' facts were revealed about the 'to be dynamic switch', with everone else being the witness; while her highness' slept in their comfort zone :P

Going further down to the start of the week or i should say the previous weekend :).. you realize how it felt to try your hand at some cooking (and yes having the pleasure of playing with the stomach of a bunch of friends).. though going with their 'quoted' remarks i feel that i did end up doing a decent job! (or did they just replied that way to compensate for their late showing up! :()

Nways; much said and less done.. its time to hold my thoughts for now and get some things in place... //
au revoir!;

A journey of an SDE from 5x7 to 12x18.. ha!

Sometimes it is weird how long one has to hold on to a 5x7 table in order to finally land up in his/her(u know i have no gender bias! :P) righteous cubicle, which no matter how scattered from your original place of belonging be, gives great pleasure to your proud feeling of belonging to an organisation. Though by that time you would have already fallen in love with the imperfections that existed in the previous workspace and the change seems to be an effortful task. Anyways, moving ahead, the next step that comes is that of customizing your 'space' so as to convey that 'it' belongs to you! But the irony is that the poor 'whiteboard' of other's becomes the victim of your creative ideas waiting to emerge out and shout to the universe. And then suddenly. out of the blue, comes a thought 'Are you still in sync with what you are expected to do as a proud owner of the cubicle?'. Well not really, but at times its not necessary to be what you are supposed to be! (ahh.. the philosophical bug again.. phew!) And hence, you carry on with 'your' stuff and once again lose the sense of the surroundings, just in time to bounce back and 'call it a day!' ........ciao!

Few friends, a JOB makes you go upside down! (ps: leaving@North India, and living South :P)

Strange, how a day comes and "orders" you that next part of your life will be spent some 2000 odd kms away, a place heard but not experienced before, though a wonderful place indeed! Thats how the life turned after the recruitment in a Bangalore-based MNC. The 'feel' was good, the 'spirits' were flowing :D, the runway lights were glowing, the mind was still knowing, while my feet were going, a hefty luggage i was towing when i realized that i've finally landed up here through the alien linguistic script which sounded annoying! (Anyways, i chill MAADI..)!
Initially, Bangalore for me started at Brigade Road(the place where i could be found for the most part), linked ahead by MG Road(the way that joined the other two) and finished around Richmond Road(thats the place i stayed initially).
The days were long, the roads were less travelled, the people were less known, and things were unheard. The days began on the roads and ended with head crashed in the bed. Sometimes people stuck a chord without any reason, at other times just fell apart and things were frozen.

Sooner than later, the visits to residency road increased, and with passing times rather than going there, you were taken there. The meaning of 'terrace' changed from the uneditable memories linked to the 2/6 'rooftop' to the routine lunches at 23 office.
And then the 30th of the first month came....// :D
